Alisyn Camerota
Alisyn Camerota, journalist, writer, anchor for CNN's morning program "New Day," as well as a Westport, CT resident, is elected to the trustee board at Westport Country Playhouse. Camerota was an editor for more than 30 years, was a reporter for news and events across the globe and nationally. She won an Emmy Award in her early journalistic career, for her coverage of the detention of Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow Award when she broke the news of Hurricane Maria. Johnna G. Torsone, from Stamford has been named an the honorary trustee after her tenure as a trustee on the Board since 2007. Anna Czekaj Farber of Westport appointed board chair after having served on the Board from 2013. Czekaj Farber will replace Barbara Streicker from Westport who was chair of the board during the last year, and has continued to serve in this role since. Board of trustees members include 26 individuals.
